Hot Target Review

Title:  Hot Target
Series:  Troubleshooters #8
Author:  Suzanne Brockmann
Publisher:  Ballantine Books
Buy Link:  Amazon & other retailers

My Rating:  4.5 Heart-Racing, Blockbuster ♥'s

Synopsis:
New York Times bestselling author Suzanne Brockmann knows exactly what makes hearts race and pulses pound: peril and passion. No one succeeds more brilliantly at blending these exhilarating elements in breathtaking novels of men and women forced to grapple with the deepest emotions and the highest risks. And there’s no better proof than her new novel of suspense: Hot Target aims to thrill on every level.Like most men of action, Navy SEAL Chief Cosmo Richter never learned how to take a vacation. So when he finds himself facing a month’s leave, he offers his services to Troubleshooters Incorporated. Founded by a former SEAL, the private-sector security firm is a major player in the ongoing war against terrorism, known for carrying out covert missions too volatile for official U.S. military action. But the first case Richter takes on is anything but under the radar.

High-profile maverick movie producer Jane Mercedes Chadwick hasn’t quite completed her newest film, but she’s already courting controversy. The World War II epic frankly portrays the homosexuality of a real-life hero–and the storm of advance media buzz surrounding it has drawn the fury of extremist groups. But despite a relentless campaign of angry E-mails, phone calls, and smear tactics, Chadwick won’t be pressured into abandoning the project. Then the harassment turns to death threats.

While the FBI appears on the scene, nervous Hollywood associates call in Troubleshooters, and now Chadwick has an army of round-the-clock bodyguards, whether she likes it or not. And she definitely doesn’t. But her stubbornness doesn’t make FBI agent Jules Cassidy’s job any easier. The fiercely independent filmmaker presents yet another emotional obstacle that Cassidy doesn’t need–he’s already in the midst of a personal tug-of-war with his ex-lover, while fighting a growing attraction to Chadwick’s brother.

Determined to succeed–and survive–on her own terms, Chadwick will face off with enemies and allies alike. But she doesn’t count on the bond she forms with the quiet, capable Cosmo Richter. Yet even as their feelings bring them closer, the noose of deadly terror all around them draws tighter. And when all hell erupts, desire and desperate choices will collide on a killing ground that may trap them both in the crossfire.

My Review:
Another outstanding book in the Troubleshooters series! Navy Seal Chief Cosmos Richter is a man of few words, but when he speaks, everyone listens. His reputation/legend proceeds him. It's said many men fear him. A giant of a man, Cosmos is strong, protective, gorgeous and "real" - a safe harbor in stormy seas. He meets Jane Chadwick, movie producer, when he hires on with the Troubleshooters as one of her bodyguards after her life is threatened. Cosmos & Jane appear to be total opposites (her public appearance screams "bimbo") and yet the windows fog up when they're in the same room. I loved watching these two characters dance around one another, both battling the smoldering eruption that threatens to tear down their emotional walls. Great, steamy story!

But...as always, there are multiple plot lines playing out in Hot Target, and I have to say that FBI agent Jules Cassidy waltzed in and came close to stealing the show in this one. I fell in love with him! A "love" triangle plays out between Jules, Robin (Jane's brother & an actor), and Adam (Jules cheating ex-fiance/lover). Some of the most emotional, heart-touching scenes occur between these three characters. I can not wait to read Jules story . . . it has to be a good one!

Hot Target is a sizzling, intense, emotional blockbuster with Brockmann's signature multiple story lines playing out on the screen. Grap the popcorn, drink, & tissues before getting comfortable with this one . . . you'll need them! A Page Burner! A Must Read!

About himself, and about the life he knows he's meant to live. So when he hears that Zara's having a rough time, he wants to be the one to help. In fact, he wants to do more than that for Zara. A lot more. But first, he must prove to Zara that he's a changed man.

My Review in Short:
Another great addition to the Colorado Mountain series! Kristen Ashley's males are always so bossy, so hot, so alpha, so MALE and Graham Reese/Ham is certainly no exception. But he's not the settling down kind, and Zara wants it all. She tells Ham that she's waiting for someone who will marry her & he walks out of her life. Five years later, she's divorced and Ham & Zara reconnect. Ham is now ready for forever - if he can just convince Zara that he's the man for the job. As always, there are tears, laughter, tension, issues to overcome, and always, lots of hot sex! Loved seeing some of the characters from other books in this one - Max, Mindy, Nina & more. I always feel such a sense of family in KA's books as stories are often entwined. And as always, the epilogue is Perfecto! Another great classic KA book...A Must Read!

Her Darkest Nightmare Review

Title:  Her Darkest Nightmare
Series:  The Evelyn Talbort Chronicles #1
Author:  Brenda Novak
Publisher:  St. Martin's Paperbacks
Release Date:  August 30, 2016
Order Info:  Amazon  Barnes & Noble  Kobo

My Rating:  4 Psychotic ♥'s

Many thanks to St. Martin's Publishing & Netgally for this ARC for review.

Synopsis:
THE HUNT FOR A SERIAL KILLER
Evelyn Talbot knows that a psychopath can look perfectly normal. She was only sixteen when her own boyfriend Jasper imprisoned and tortured her—and left her for dead. Now an eminent psychiatrist who specializes in the criminal mind, Evelyn is the force behind Hanover House, a maximum-security facility located in a small Alaskan town. Her job puts her at odds with Sergeant Amarok, who is convinced that Hanover is a threat to his community…even as his attraction to beautiful Evelyn threatens to tear his world apart.
BEGINS WITH AN ESCAPE FROM HER PAST
Then, just as the bitter Alaskan winter cuts both town and prison off from the outside world, the mutilated body of a local woman turns up. For Amarok, this is the final proof he needs: Hanover has to go. Evelyn, though, has reason to fear that the crime is a personal message to her—the first sign that the killer who haunts her dreams has found her again. . .and that the life she has so carefully rebuilt will never be the same…

My Review:
Evelyn Talbort has devoted the past twenty years of her life to studying the minds of the most depraved, evil, soulless killers in the world.  She has a personal interest in what drives these psychotic killers to brutally torture and murder their victims, as she was a victim of one at age sixteen when she was kidnapped and tortured by her "boyfriend", Jasper, who escaped capture.  Eve is always looking over her shoulder, painfully aware that he is out there somewhere watching, waiting for his shot at revenge on her for escaping.  She hopes her studies may someday prevent another woman from having to experience the same horrible nightmare she lived through.

Eve is now living in a small, remote town in Alaska, working as Director of Hanover House - a maximum security facility that houses the kind of monsters who stalk her nightmares.  Eve is a loner who emits No Trespassing signals when anyone tries to get close enough to break through her emotional roadblocks.  She knows psychopaths are masters at disguise, deceit, and manipulation - she was fooled by one once.  She will never trust anyone again.  And how well Alaskan State Trooper Amarok knows it.  He's tried repeatedly to break through Eve's frigid barriers to no avail.  Every woman in the small Alaskan town desires Sgt. Amarok - sexy, strong, protective, honest - all he has to do is smile at a woman and she'll climb into his bed.  He, however, only has eyes for Eve.  When a monster snow storm cuts the small town off from the outside world for several days, Eve finds herself snowed in with Amarok - and despite her rebuffs, things begin to heat up between them.  And just as quickly, the walls drop back into place as female body parts start showing up around town.  Eve's nightmares begin again - could it be?  Has her past - Jasper - caught up with her?  Or has one of the evil psychopaths escaped Hanover House?

There's a serial killer on the prowl in this frozen, isolated town, and his sights are set on Eve.  An inmate with an obsession with Eve delivers a dire warning - Not all monsters are locked behind these bars.  With twists and turns, Novak spins an ominous tale of lies, deceit, murder, and monsters in the dark as the edge of your seat suspense builds throughout Her Darkest Nightmare.  A strong supporting cast makes guessing the identity of the killer difficult as the reader is led to suspect first one person and then another.  While the story is riveting, the only issue I had came with a climax/ending that seemed a little...well, anti-climatic, after the heart-racing, ominous intensity of previous chapters.  I felt it deserved a little more attention and time than it garnished.  Having said that, Her Darkest Nightmare is a great read - one filled with everything nightmares are made of + a romance that gives you hope.  A Must Read!

Sting Review

Title:  Sting
Series:  N/A
Author:  Sandra Brown
Publisher:  Grand Central Publishing
Release Date:  August 16, 2016
Order Info:  Amazon  Barnes & Noble
My Rating:  4 Captive ♥'s

First Thoughts:  Sometimes, the hardest thing to give is trust.

Many thanks to Grand Central Publishing for providing this ARC via Netgally.

Synopsis:
When Jordie Bennet and Shaw Kinnard lock eyes across a disreputable backwater bar, something definitely sparks. Shaw gives off a dangerous vibe that makes men wary and inspires women to sit up and take notice. None feel that undercurrent more strongly than savvy businesswoman Jordie, who doesn't belong in a seedy dive on the banks of a bayou. But here she is . . . and Shaw Kinnard is here to kill her.

As Shaw and his partner take aim, Jordie is certain her time has come. But Shaw has other plans and abducts Jordie, hoping to get his hands on the $30 million her brother has stolen and, presumably, hidden. However, Shaw is not the only one looking for the fortune. Her brother's ruthless boss and the FBI are after it as well. Now on the run from the feds and a notorious criminal, Jordie and Shaw must rely on their wits-and each other-to stay alive.

Miles away from civilization and surrounded by swampland, the two play each other against their common enemies. Jordie's only chance of survival is to outwit Shaw, but it soon becomes clear to Shaw that Jordie isn't entirely trustworthy, either. Was she in on her brother's scam, or is she an innocent pawn in a deadly vendetta? And just how valuable is her life to Shaw, her remorseless and manipulative captor? Burning for answers-and for each other-this unlikely pair ultimately make a desperate move that could be their last.

My Review:
The Sting grabbed my attention with the first line, Exactly twenty-two minutes before Mickey Bolden met his maker, he tossed a handful of popcorn into his mouth and said, "A woman walks into a bar."  Mickey Bolden and Shaw Kinnard appear shocked when Jordie Bennet, the woman they have been hired to kill, walks into the seedy, bayou bar as they are discussing their hit.  Clearly, she is out of her element, and they are screwed.  What's going on?  Twenty-two minutes later, something goes down in the parking lot where they have retreated, waiting to carry out their hit as she leaves the bar.  Something goes wrong, and Shaw ends up on the run with Jordie tied up in the backseat.  Both the FBI and the criminal who ordered her death are desperate to find them.  While Shaw tries to outwit them, Jordie tries to outwit Shaw.  After all, there's $30 million dollars and her brother's life at stake.  Shaw knows a place to hide in the swamp where no one will find them, buying him time to get the truth out of Jordie & broker a deal with the highest bidder.  She has no doubt that he will kill her - He has no doubt she isn't telling him everything she knows.  Neither trusts the other.  They hadn't planned on the sizzling chemistry that sparked between them as they hid from the world, waiting to see who would cave first.  And so this story plays out.

Sandra Brown is a master at manipulating characters and plot lines.  Her classic twists & turns are evident in this book, although there is one "reveal" that I felt was obvious - a matter of "when" it would be revealed rather than "if". A strong, well-developed supporting cast adds depth and a sense of urgency that builds throughout as their stories unfold throughout the search for Shaw & Jordie.  And as the end approaches, yes, there is the classic Sandra Brown shocking twist so evident in her writing.  Another great read for fans of Romance/Suspense!  A Must Read!

Furious Rush Excerpt:
Honda Boy was holding his helmet under an arm while he flirted with the girls surrounding him. He was blond, with a short, shaggy hairstyle that probably took a lot more effort to create than it looked like. I could tell from the way the girls around him were tittering like teenagers that he was charming; with seemingly little effort on his part, he had all of them eating out of his hand. When a break in the crowd gave me a clear view of his face, I realized another thing: He was smokin’, someone-hold-on-to-my-ovaries- before-they-explode hot.
There was a perfect symmetry to his rugged features that made it seem unreal that he was standing just a few feet away from me. He should be plastered on a billboard somewhere, half-naked, selling overpriced cologne to men who wanted just a fraction of his sex appeal. As if he could feel my eyes on him, he turned his gaze my way. Our eyes met and locked, and I was helpless to turn away. There was something carnal about him, primal and dangerous. Exotic. I was instantly captivated, and I hated that I was. This guy was neck-deep in a world that twisted my stomach, a world that spat in the face of my sport. My career.
As his light-colored eyes bored holes into mine, one edge of his lip curved up in a devilish crooked grin that was both playful and promising. He was practically shouting, with just that one deadly smile, that he would satisfy my every desire, satiate every craving I could possibly have. My heart started thudding in my chest as sensations that had been dormant for far too long swirled to life in- side me. Luckily for me, the big man taking the guy’s bets clapped him on the shoulder, breaking our stare down. Once I was free of his steamy gaze, I instantly turned around so my back was to him.  Jesus, was I breathing harder? Ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. I was twenty-two, not twelve.
“Damn,” I heard Nikki say. “You were right. I should have bet on him from the get-go. I didn’t really get a good look at him before, but he is freaking hot!”
Inhaling a deep breath, I attempted to force my body back in line with my brain. “This guy is undefeated?” I asked Nikki. “Really?” She nodded in answer and I had to close my eyes for a second. A face like that with racing skills to boot? Jesus.
Clearing my throat, I nonchalantly asked, “What did you say his name was again?” I could at least label the guy in the fantasy I was surely going to have later.
“Hayden... something. He’s been around for a while, from what I gathered.”
I risked a glance over my shoulder at... Hayden. He’d slipped his helmet on, thankfully, although his visor was popped up. The big guy taking bets had been joined by a skinny Hispanic guy who seemed to be giving Hayden instructions. Or maybe a pep talk. The little guy was acting out the race that was about to happen with his hands, complete with swerving and explosions. God, I hoped there weren’t going to be explosions. While he was going through his dramatic highlights, the big guy looped a camera over Hayden’s helmet.
When the two competitors were ready, they backed their motor- cycles onto the street. A cheer ripped up and down the sidewalk as the hopeful gamblers prepared for another round of racing. I didn’t want to feel anything but contempt for what I was witnessing, yet the energy of the spectators, the roar of the bikes—I couldn’t help the zing of excitement that raced up my spine. Against my will, my mouth twisted into a wide grin, and a yell of encouragement left my lips. Hayden’s helmet swiveled my way as he revved his engine. My pulse quickened as our eyes met. Then he winked at me and slammed his visor shut.
As the riders moved into position, Nikki grabbed my arm. “Come on. We can watch the action from the van.”
I had no idea what she was talking about. Before I could ask her, though, she yanked me toward a black van parked on the sidewalk. The back doors were open, and a giant monitor attached to a swinging metal arm was sticking out above the hovering crowd. The screen was split in two, each half showing the footage from one racer’s helmet cam. Hayden and his opponent were both looking straight ahead, and the dual feeds showed similar stretches of barren road. Looking down the street, I saw that the pair were stopped at a crosswalk, waiting for the light to change.
Returning my eyes to the monitor, I found myself holding my breath as I waited for the signal to change colors. When it turned green and the bikes surged forward, I stepped closer to the van, like that would somehow release my pent-up energy. In unison, the crowd around me started hooting and hollering. Swept up in the moment, I bounced on my toes and prayed for speed. But after watching the screen for just a few seconds, I was struck with the harsh reality of the situation I was watching. This was no closed-off track with well-defined paths. This was down and dirty, anything goes, just get to the finish line first racing.
The bikes blew through red lights like they meant absolutely nothing. The streets were fairly empty at this early hour, but they blurred past the few vehicles on the road like they were standing still; they had to be going 100 miles per hour, easy. They dodged obstacles by hopping onto the sidewalk, they fishtailed around slick corners, and they came close to colliding with oncoming traffic more than once.
I turned to Nikki with shock clear on my face. “This is insane! Someone’s going to get hurt. Maybe killed!”
Nikki’s face was pure elation as she watched the screens. Her expression changed as my words sunk in, then she looked at me like I had a foot sticking out of my head. I supposed it was odd to hear that type of statement coming from someone who routinely hovered around the 150 mark on the speedometer while riding, but that was a completely different kind of environment. Believe it or not, what I did was safe, relatively speaking. Millions of dollars were spent to make it that way. This was not safe. At all.
“They’re breaking every traffic law there is,” I added, feeling like a giant stick in the mud. Someone needed to be the voice of reason here, though, because everyone was clearly out of their ever loving minds.
Nikki smirked at my comment. “It’s a race, Kenzie. They can’t exactly drive cautiously. Why do you think this happens so late at night?”
“Because it’s illegal,” I deadpanned. I got a couple of odd looks from the crowd after saying that, including a particularly nasty glare from Hayden’s bet collector. Maybe this wasn’t the best place to be talking about the law. Shutting my mouth, I quickly refocused on the screen.
Just as I noticed a familiar section of street come into view on the monitor, one side of the screen started wobbling, then the camera showed asphalt, sparks, spinning scenery, and a rapidly approaching telephone pole. The crowd around me hushed as it became clear that Hayden’s competition wasn’t going to finish this race. I heard Hayden’s bike rounding the corner seconds later, then Nikki was once again pulling me along like a rag doll. She shoved us into a good position to see the finish line right as Hayden’s Honda whizzed past. He was alone. Cheers erupted mixed with a few groans from the people who’d bet on the other guy.
Just as I was wondering if anyone was going to go check on the Ninja rider, Nikki grabbed my shoulders and started shaking me with uncontainable joy. “We won, Kenzie! We frickin’ won!”
“Great,” I said, clenching my teeth so I wouldn’t bite my tongue.
Releasing me, Nikki let out a squeal of excitement. “I just made enough money to pay you back and cover my loss. See, aren’t you glad you came?”
I narrowed my eyes into poisonous daggers that would hopefully drill some sense into her. “I hate you,” I murmured.  Nikki held a hand over her heart. “I know by hate you mean love, and I love you too, Kenzie. Now let’s collect my winnings and go home so you can rest up. Big year this year!”
I opened my mouth to scold her with some biting remark about how I’d wanted to leave ages ago, but she turned on her heel and left me there, gaping. Just as I was forcing the muscles in my jaw to relax enough to contract, Hayden pulled up next to where I was standing on the sidewalk. It felt like the world suddenly shifted into slow motion as I turned my head to look at him.
He was still hunched over his bike, hands on the grip and throttle; the only indication that he was looking at me was the direction of his dark helmet. Then, like some freaking Prince Charming in a fairy tale, he slowly removed his helmet and tucked it under his arm. I swear the air around me condensed as his tilted smile came into view. Jesus Christ, this guy was sex on a stick.
Reaching up, he roughly ran a hand through his sweaty dirty- blond hair. The short, sexy shag he’d had going on earlier was destroyed from the helmet, but somehow after just a few scruffs of his hand, the carefree style was back to utter perfection. I kind of wanted to mess it up again, run my hands through the strands, grab a handful and clench it tight while I outlined those incredibly kissable lips with my tongue.
Whoa. No. I didn’t want that.
His penetrating gaze studied my face for a moment. There was something there in his eyes that I couldn’t quite grasp. Interest, sure, but almost... sadness too. Then he smiled, and the look vanished so fast, I was sure I’d imagined it. “Haven’t seen you here before,” he said, his voice low and easy, like he hadn’t just risked his life. “I hope you bet on me. It would be a shame to see someone as beautiful as you... lose.”
His grin turned suggestive, and warning signs started flashing in front of my eyes. Danger! Do not proceed! Rocky road ahead! Turn back now! The warnings flared even brighter when he stood from his motorcycle and began approaching me.
When he was directly in front of me, so close that I could smell the subtle spicy aroma of his cologne, my heart was hammering so hard, I was positive he could hear it, positive he could see my T-shirt lifting and releasing like a frantic hummingbird was hiding under the fabric. What the hell was he doing to me? Was I nervous or excited? Because the sensation was so similar to both, I honestly couldn’t tell.
Extending a hand, he smoothly said, “Name’s Hayden. Hayden Hayes.” I was just about to lift my hand and touch him—my fingers even twitched in response—when he added, “And what should I call you, sweetheart?”
Sweetheart? With those two simple syllables he had just dumped a bucket of ice water over my head and killed any fantasy I might have had about him. I lived, worked, and breathed in a world where men looked at me like I was a second-class citizen. To prove my worth, I had to work harder, longer, and with everything I had inside me, all the fucking time. I felt like he’d just tried to take all of that hard work away from me with that one demeaning word.
“Leaving,” I said, walking away.

Wow!  Just wondering where in the world July went!  And the first seven months of this year.  Anyone else feel like time is passing them by?  Between real life, family, work, writing, and social media (gotta build those contacts), I feel like a juggler - a very inept juggler.  How is anyone supposed to do it all?  How do you all do it all?

Don't get me wrong - I love my life.  But I just never seem to have the time to do everything that demands my attention.  And the bottom line is that by the end of the day (or the beginning of the next), after everything that must be done is done - aka Real Life - I often find myself spread way too thin.  Then, I'm faced with having to make a choice about the best use of what little time is left.  I want/need to write, and I need to attend to social media promotion obligations.  Many days, there is only enough time for one or the other.  No, I'm not talking about cruising emails, chatting on Facebook, surfin' the net, or general chit chat (all Fun things!).  I'm talking about writing Blog posts, tweeting books, promoting my writing - things to build a much needed following.

Self-promotion seems to fall squarely on the shoulders of the author now.  And, I keep hearing you can't wait until you have a book/s written to start building a following.  You need one in place asap.  With limited writing time, how do you do justice to both writing & working self-promoting social media?  I realize many established authors hire someone to do a lot of their promotion work, but what can new writers trying to break into the business do? How do you juggle it all?

August Question:   What was your very first piece of writing as an aspiring writer? Where is it now? Collecting dust or has it been published?  Answer:  My first collection of stories, written many years ago, was lost in a house fire.  There was no computer file as it was hand-written.  The next piece of work I remember completing is collecting dust in a file cabinet.  Note to self:  Take another look at it . . . maybe there's something there that could be salvaged or incorporated into another piece.

Furious Rush Review

Title:  Furious Rush
Series:  Not Confirmed
Author:  S. C. Stephens
Release Date:  Aug. 23, 2016
Publisher:  Forever
S.C. Stephens Website
My Rating:  4 High Octane ♥'s

First Thoughts:  There's no greater weight to bear than that of a family's legacy.  It can strip you of your heart, soul, and sanity.  In order to win this race called life, you have to let the baggage go and reach for the stars.

*Many thanks to the Author & Publisher for an ARC via Netgally.

Synopsis:
For Mackenzie Cox, racing motorcycles is in her blood. Born into a family legacy, she's determined to show the world that she has inherited her father's talent in this male-dominated sport. The last thing Kenzie needs is to be antagonised by her rival team's newest rider, Hayden Hayes. Hayden, exceedingly arrogant and outrageously attractive, immediately gets under Kenzie's skin and she can't help but be distracted.

As Kenzie and Hayden push each other on the track, the electric energy between them off the track shifts into an intense - and strictly forbidden - attraction. The only rule between their two ultra-competitive teams is zero contact. Kenzie needs a win, and she also needs to stay away from Hayden. Unfortunately for her though, one thing has become all too clear: she can't.

Fuelled by passion, driven by desire, Hayden and Mackenzie both want to win more than anything else. Except for, maybe, each other. But anger, jealousy and extreme competitiveness aren't their only obstacles . . .

My Review:
When recently offered a chance to take part in a promotional blog tour for Stephens & review this book, I immediately said, "Yes."  I loved the emotional train wreck that was the Thoughtless series and was ready to read more from this talented author.  And so I began reading Furious Rush and suddenly found myself inhaling the fumes, sweat, blood, & tears often found in the world of motorcycle racing - predominately a man's world - but not anymore.  MacKenzie Cox is one of a few women motorcycle racers - the daughter of one of the great legends . . . that's championship blood pulsing through her veins.  But, it seems her legacy is in financial trouble, and she is the only one who can save it.  Kenzie feels a tremendous need/pressure to make her father proud by winning races and the championship in her Rookie year.  Maybe, just maybe, her father would then see & treat her as his daughter again - instead of his top racer.

Cox Racings' top nemesis is Benelli Racing - there's a world of bad blood and history between these two owners.  Benelli has hired a new bad boy racer - Hayden, former illegal street racer.  Are his illegal activities really in the past?  Hayden carries a chip on his shoulder and a burning desire to win and prove himself - word is he'll do whatever it takes to win.  When he meets Kenzie, fireworks explode - the chemistry screaming Take her now while the rules say No contact whatsoever between rival teams.  The tension quickly ramps up as these two fight to beat each other both on and off the track.  Their careers are at stake.  Meantime, someone is sabotaging other racers' bikes - wrecks are occurring on the track - riders are getting seriously injured.  Kenzie's family believes the culprit is Hayden.  Who does she trust?  Her family?  Hayden?  Her heart?  Her decision may cost her everything.

Furious Fury is high octane all the way!  The intensity & suspense keeps the heart racing & the adrenaline pumping while the romance simmers until a match is tossed into the gasoline and pent up emotions & sexual frustrations ignite into a roaring blaze. It's a story of family legacies & expectations, choices & consequences, love & hate.  In order to win this race called life, you have to let the baggage go and reach for the stars.  A Must Read!

*Furious Fury is being called a Standalone, but the ending indicates there's much more to come!  Something to look forward to!

My Rating:  4 High Octane ♥'s . . . And that's the truth!
